The first public beta releases of Windows 7 will be hitting the streets in the next couple of months. The first signs of this are visible as a new product in Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), the security update mechanism from Microsoft, Windows 7 Client.
Windows 7 is the successor to both Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. Windows 7 Client is expected to appear on Microsoft Connect in November or December 2008.
As usual, there will be changes from the previous releases. These require testing, especially for software developers. There’s nothing better than an existing virtualisation platform to do that on. This is something that C Infinity can offer. Using hosted virtual machines, you can have a quick to deploy and economic way of testing solutions on new platforms without significant long term investments in hardware or software. With hosting, you simply pay for what you use and when you use it.
