There’s an interesting story that states that 9,000 USB sticks are lost in laundrettes every year in the UK. The story also says that London taxi drivers claim that over 12,000 portable devices are left in their cabs every year. It just shows how easy it is to overlook these devices that often contain sensitive personal or business data that is often covered by regulator laws.

Microsoft Fix Internet Explorer Vulnerability

The Future Of Windows Server

The next release of Windows Server will be in 2010 or thereabouts.  This will probably be soon after the release of Windows 7, the successor to Windows Vista.  This new server product will be called Windows Server 2008 R2.

Outlook PST File Backups With Connected Online

I previously mentioned the different methods of creating backups of your MS Outlook PST and for the most part its a manual process. You can still use Microsoft’s Outlook plugin to create an automated copy of the PST file but it still requires a safe offsite backup.
